In Group B of AFC Asian Cup, Jordan have become the first team in the Asian Cup to qualify for the next round, after beating Syria with 2-unanswered goals.

The Jordanians, who stunned Australia in their opening clash, took the lead in the 26th minute when Mousa Suleiman finished off a great low cross. Just before the break, a high-flying bullet header from Tareq Khattab made it 2-nil for Jordan.

Thanks to a superb defensive play, Jordan managed to celebrate their 2nd win of the tournament alongside a ticket to the knockout stage.
