Many in Israel are angry over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus decision to accept an Egyptian-mediated ceasefire with Hamas after an exchange of fire between the two sides several days ago. A poll published on Thursday found some 74 percent of respondents were unhappy with Netanyahu's handling of Mondays escalation with the Palestinian resistance movement in Gaza. Earlier, Israels minister of military affairs Avigdor Lieberman resigned from his post over what he called Netanyahus capitulation to terror.
