Labour leaves the door open to a Brexit vote

British Prime Minister Theresa May comes under renewed pressure from opposition Labour Party over her Brexit plan known as the Chequers deal.

Labour’s Brexit spokesman Keir Starmer says if May insists on her strategy, the opposition party will keep open the option of a second Brexit referendum that will include remaining in the European Union.

He however said Labour prefers a general election to force her to quit as Prime minister if May does not give up the Chequers deal.
