The United States and Israel are trying to use funding for the Palestinian Authority and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as a tool to keep quiet the Palestinian people, says an activist.

Paul Larudee, an activist from the Free Palestine Movement, told Press TV on Saturday that “they (the US and Israel) are going to give the money not to ANRWA maybe but at least directly to the Palestinian authority, the Abbas administration, because they need him and they need to buy off the Palestinians to keep quiet.”

“Both Israel and the United States have this in mind as a way of keeping Palestinians quiet,” Larudee said.

He also pointed to the end goal of Washington and Tel Aviv that “are trying to twist the arm of the Abbas administration to get it to agree to support Israel as a Jewish state.”

“Israel is controlling the Palestinians directly” through the money that goes through the Palestinian Authority to the people in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, the activist concluded.
