The Trump administration’s policy to intimidate Iran to come to the negotiating table will not bear any fruit for Washington, says a commentator.
US President Donald Trump is hoping that he will succeed in using the intimidation tactic, which was applied for North Korea, in order to make “the Iranians succumb to his pressures,” but the case is completely different, Mohammad Obaid, political analyst, told Press TV on Tuesday.
“It is not ... that the Iranians would succumb. They will go with the confrontation to the utmost especially as the American situation in the region is not that good,” Obaid said.
