Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Haddadi has managed to collect a bronze medal at the fourth leg of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Diamond League in Rome, Italy.
The 33-year-old Iranian sportsman competed against rivals from Austria, Belgium, Italy, Jamaica, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and the United States, and rounded off the podium with a throw of 65.93 meters.
The London 2012 Olympics silver medalist registered 63.31 and 65.93 meters in his first two attempts.
Haddadi then threw the discus 63.34, 62.81, 63.05 and 63.03 meters in the third to sixth attempts respectively.
Jamaican athlete Fedrick Dacres stood on the top of the podium and struck the gold medal with 68.51 meters.
Andrius Gudzius from Lithuania recorded 68.17 meters and finished vice champion.
The fourth leg of the IAAF Diamond League was held on May 31, 2018.
