Protests continued in Yerevan on Saturday, after former President Serzh Sargsyan was appointed as the country’s prime minister.
Police officers were seen trying to stop protesters from blocking the streets of the Armenian capital, urging people to go home.
Protests began on April 13, shortly after the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominated Sargsyan for the prime minister’s post.
