Air France employees have gone on strike again over salary demands, prompting flight cancellations that threw off holiday plans for many families traveling to and from Paris.
Air France said it planned to provide 70 percent of its scheduled flights on Saturday as unions called for another strike to push for a wage increase of six percent.
A statement from Air France released on Friday said 75 percent of its long-haul flights and 65 percent of its medium-haul flights to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle would be assured.
This is the fifth day of strike action since February by Air France employees, represented by 10 unions. Air France has already called for new strike days on April 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 23rd and 24th.
