South Korea Sunday announced it would dispatch 2 special envoys to North Korea to discuss creating conditions for US – North Korea dialogue and further improving inter-Korean relations. Inter-Korean ties have improved with Pyongyang’s participation in the winter Olympics, but looming large-scale US – South Korea military drills jeopardize the prospects for long-term peace on the Korean Peninsula.
