Thousands of Ethiopians celebrated in Adama city on Wednesday after a senior opposition leader was released from prison and all charges against him were dropped.

Bekele Gerba, secretary general of the Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC), addressed thousands of his supporters and urged them to continue with their peaceful protests until all political prisoners were released.
