At least three people have been killed in attacks by the Turkish army in the Kurdish-dominated north eastern Syria. A spokesman for the YPG militants said the deaths brought to at least 27 the number of people killed in Turkey’s offensive in Afrin. Syrian Kurdish leaders called on civilians to take up arms to defend the Afrin enclave against the Turkish assault. Ankara also announced the death of several of its soldiers during the incursion.
