US says does not support YPG in Syria

The US-led coalition in Syria says it does not support Kurdish militants in northern Afrin region. This comes after Turkey's harsh reaction to an earlier US announcement about its plans to establish a new border force in Syria, largely controlled by the Kurdish militants.
