French judo head coach Nicolas Baudou has arrived in Tehran to hold negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran Judo & Kurash Federation (IRIJKF) officials, and assess chances to take charge of Iran men's national judo team.

Baudou arrived at Imam Khomeini International Airport on Saturday morning, and was greeted by a number of Iranian sports figures upon arrival.

During his week-long stay in Tehran, Baudou is scheduled to engage in negotiations with IRIJKF authorities, survey Iran’s judo installations and closely monitor a number of training sessions of the national team.

Earlier, coaches from Azerbaijan and Ukraine had traveled to Tehran though no final accord was sealed between them and the Islamic Republic of Iran Judo & Kurash Federation.
