The Iran men's national sitting volleyball team has been named the world’s best squad in the latest edition of the World ParaVolley rankings.
According to the latest monthly rankings released by the international organization that is for people with physical disabilities, the Iranian team collected 5,215 points, and maintained its position as the best sitting volleyball team for the tenth consecutive time.
Brazil earned 4,708 points to claim the second position, while third-place Egypt garnered 4,523 points. Bosnia & Herzegovina stood fourth with 4,205 points.
Moreover, the Iran women's national sitting volleyball team landed in the sixth spot in the world rankings.
The US women’s national team was selected as the world’s top-ranked sitting volleyball team in the world, with 5,350 points.
China and Brazil accumulated 5,200 and 4,214 points to claim the second and third positions respectively. Fourth-place Ukraine collected 4,120 points.
The Netherlands occupied the fifth slot with 3,637 points, while the Islamic Republic of Iran notched up 2,825 points and earned the sixth spot.
