A political commentator believes the UN General Assembly’s vote in favor of a resolution that calls on the US to withdraw its controversial recognition of Jerusalem al-Quds as the Israeli capital illustrates Washington’s isolation on the issue.
“So this is a very big defeat for the United States and also the overwhelming rejection of the United States happened even despite Washington’s threats of retaliation by withholding aid and essentially punishing countries that would vote against it,” Glenn Diesen told Press TV in an interview on Friday.
