Trump facing further isolation over Quds move
The US on Monday vetoed a Security Council resolution which was meant to unwind a recent controversial move by President Donald Trump to designate Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s capital. Analysts believe Washington’s veto could further isolate Trump over his Jerusalem al-Quds move. This will be particularly materialized when the resolution would be taken to the UN General Assembly where an approval is likely to occur specifically given that a majority of countries do not recognize Jerusalem al-Quds as the capital of Israel.
Trump hampering JCPOA by blocking Iran plane deals
The US House of Representatives has passed legislation which would require the Treasury Department to report to Congress on Iran’s purchases of American aircraft and their financing. This is the latest in a series of moves by the administration of US president Donald Trump to undermine the Iran nuclear deal also known as the JCAPOA. Tehran has accused Washington of seeking to confiscate the Islamic republic’s payments for buying airlines from Boeing and Airbus.
