Lebanese President Michel Aoun calls for radical solution to fight fatal extremism
Lebanese President Michel Aoun has appealed for dialogue between religions and cultures and a radical solution to fight "fatal extremism."
Aoun made the plea as he addressed the opening session of the MED-Mediterranean Dialogues conference in Rome on Thursday.
The three-day meeting draws together senior politicians and business leaders from around the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and North Africa to discuss the turmoil that has roiled the region, and also seek out possible opportunities.
