North Korea tests ICBM, declares itself nuclear weapons state

North Korea conducted its third test of an ICBM this year and declared itself a nuclear weapons state. South Korea, as well as several states around the world, condemned Pyongyang’s actions as a threat to international peace and security. South Korea in response held its own missile drills minutes after the North Korean launch as tension increases on the Korean Peninsula.
