Indonesian officials have ordered immediate evacuation of 100,000 people from the resort island of Bali after signs appeared that volcanic activity on Mount Agung is shifting to eruption phase.
Officials have also ordered to close the holiday island's key airport – a move that has disrupted hundreds of flights and left around 60,000 passengers stranded. Agung's last eruption in 1963 left more than 1,000 people dead and razed several villages.
