Catalonia says Spain unwilling to hear Puigdemont

The Spanish Senate has asked Catalonia’s regional president to appear before the upper house on Thursday or Friday to suspend the region's autonomy. However, a spokesperson for the Catalan leader laments the proposed dates that coincide with the appearance of Carles Puigdemont before the regional parliament.
