Las Vegas massacre sparks gun control debate

The massacre in the US city of Las Vegas has reignited a debate on gun control and gun violence in the country. While Democratic lawmakers have underlined the need for restrictions on gun possession, Republicans have remained silent on the issue. The White House, however, says such discussions should be postponed as Americans are still in mourning following the Las Vegas massacre.
