In Iran’s Yazd, ‘harmony’ key feature in mourning for Imam Hossein

Millions of Shia Muslims in Iran as well as across the world are marking Tasu’a on Saturday. Tasu’a is eve of martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS), the third Shia Imam, in the seventh century. As each region holds its own specific style of mourning ceremonies, the southern city of Yazd is known among Iranians for holding perfectly harmonized processions.
