English Premier League side Everton have been held to a 2-2 draw by Apollon Limassol in their Europa League Group E match at Goodison Park.

The opener came in the 12th minute when Ashley Williams' scuffed clearance was picked-off by Anton Maglica, who crossed for Adrian Sardinero to score at the second attempt.

Former England captain Wayne Rooney equalized in the 21st minute after he intercepted Spaniard Hector Yuste’s pass in the six yard box to find an open net.

Croatia international Nikola Vlasic then gave the Toffees their second in the 66th minute. Yuste then made up for his terrible back-pass error and scored in the last minute to make it 2-2. Everton now remain at the bottom of the group standings with one point from two matches.
