US boosts tension with Korea bombing drill

South Korea and the United States have conducted a joint aerial drill amid simmering tensions with Pyongyang. The exercise, which follows North Korea’s missile test on Friday, contravenes the efforts of China and Russia to reduce tensions. It also ignores the recent UN Security Council resolution’s call for reducing tensions and seeking a diplomatic solution to the crisis on the Korean peninsula.
