A commentator says the European Union would clearly like to have the United States adhere to the Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), adding that it has found the Islamic Republic to be a “completely stable and reasonable trade partner”.
“The only people against this deal are hardline pro-Israeli factions in the US, which there are many, and that includes [US President Donald] Trump, Israel itself and Saudi Arabia which functions in this context as a proxy for the US,” John Steppling told Press TV in an interview on Saturday.
The comments came after Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani called on the European Union to pile up pressure on the United States to fully implement the 2015 landmark nuclear agreement.
