Should the supervision of the Hajj be internationalized?

Pilgrims are on their way to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj in Mecca. The first day of the Hajj is expected to be either Tuesday, August 29 or Wednesday, August 30.

For Muslims, the Hajj re-enacts the actions of the Prophet Muhammad in his "farewell pilgrimage" in AD 632, and is a central pillar of the Islamic faith meant to cleanse the faithful of sin and bring them closer to God.

However, there has long been controversy over Saudi Arabia’s administration of the Hajj with numerous deadly disasters happening on their watch. Moreover, they have bombed and placed a deadly siege on their impoverished Arab neighbor Yemen and they have not even eased off their deadly campaign during Hajj. Leaving some to ask are they worthy of supervising Hajj?
