The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s latest report on Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will “complicate" the efforts made by US President Donald Trump’s administration to “derail” the agreement, says a political analyst.

“Given the categorical statements by the agency on Iran’s compliance with the various terms of the agreement … it will be very difficult, not impossible of course, for the Trump's administration to rationalize this decision to decertify [Tehran's compliance with the deal] and to claim that Iran is not in compliance, because if it chooses to do so, then clearly the partners in Europe and Russia and China that were signatories to the agreement will not go along and [the] US will only isolate itself,” Kaveh Afrasiabi told Press TV in an interview on Sunday.
