Hurricane Harvey was downgraded to a tropical storm, but powerful winds and rains delivered heavy damage, including power outages and flooded roads, as the storm continued to batter Texas on Saturday.

Dozens of utility poles were toppled by strong gales, leaving more than 330,000 local residents without power.

Many roads in the city of Port Lavaca were flooded. Electricity caused traffic lights to go out and many traffic signs were toppled by heavy winds. Police officers have been deployed along the main roads to direct traffic, and residents in the area were reminded to stay indoors.
