Hong Kong tastes defeat against Iran at Asian Women's Volleyball Championship
The Hong Kong women’s national volleyball team has slumped to a defeat against Iran at the classification round of the 19th edition of Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship in the Philippines.
On Tuesday, the Iranian team, which had lost to the Australian squad 3-1 (23–25, 25–22, 25–20, 25–22) in a Pool H fixture the previous day, beat the Hong Kong outfit 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-18 and 25-15) in a 9th–12th match at Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Muntinlupa.
The 19th edition of Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship opened on August 9 and will finish on August 17, 2017 in the Philippines. Matches are being held at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan and Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Muntinlupa.
