Venezuelan opposition targeting Bolivarian Revolution: Analyst

A political analyst says the recent poll held by the Venezuelan opposition is part of a US-backed “false flag revolution” against the country’s Bolivarian Revolution, which was launched by the late iconic leader, Hugo Chavez, in 1999.

In an interview with Press TV, Kevin Barrett, an author and political commentator, said the opposition campaign in Venezuela is not “a genuine popular movement,” but a “counter-revolution” against the Bolivarian Revolution.

The recent symbolic referendum against Maduro was “a complete lie,” said the analyst, adding, “It’s a lot like the color revolutions we’ve seen in other places around the world fomented by the CIA and other forces of the empire.”
