Trump Jr. in Russia scandal
Nearly six months after taking the oath of office, allegations of possible coordination between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia continue to cast a cloud over Donald Trump's presidency. Now the issue has come under much scrutiny after Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump junior, released emails acknowledging that he had met with a Russian lawyer before last year’s election. Trump Junior said he attended the meeting to hear what the lawyer claimed to be damaging information about his father’s democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
Gaza unlivable
Israel’s oppressive siege of Gaza continues to strangle the territory and it has made life intolerable to the Palestinians living there. On the tenth anniversary of the imposition of the siege, the UN has warned that Gaza is effectively unlivable for its two million people, with their incomes, healthcare, education, electricity and fresh water on the decline.
