Anti-government demonstrations have been going on in Venezuela on an almost daily basis for the past three months. The protests, which frequently turn violent, have so far left some 80 people dead. The opposition has accused Nicolas Maduro of creating a dictatorship while the 54-year-old president regards the protests as part of a US-backed coup attempt against his government.
