Don Kirk, a political analyst, believes there is no sense of war breaking out on the Korean Peninsula, adding that despite all US threats against North Korea, Washington seeks to pursue a “peaceful solution” to the rising tensions in the region.

“In fact despite all what you hear from Washington - various threats and intimidations and talk about all options being open - President [Donald] Trump and his Defense Secretary [James] Mattis and Secretary of State Rex Thillerson made it in clear in recent days that they would like to seek a relatively peaceful solution and they are hoping that China will somehow exercise pressure on North Korea to suspend its [missile] program,” Kirk told PressTV in an interview on Monday.
