US President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to blast Hillary Clinton's comments where she blamed the FBI and Russia for her 2016 election loss.
“FBI Director Jim Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds,” Trump wrote in a message posted on Twitter on Tuesday night.
"The phony Trump/Russia story was an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election," the post included.
Trump’s comments came after Clinton talked about her campaign loss at an international women's event in New York.
“I was on the way to winning until the combination of Jim Comey's letter on October 28 and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me, but got scared off," said the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee.
President Trump also repeated his claim that the multiple federal investigations relating to Russia's meddling in the US election were motivated by the Democrats' defeat.

Last month, Trump called on NBC News to stop covering an investigation into his alleged collusion with Russia. “When will Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd and @NBCNews start talking about the Obama SURVEILLANCE SCANDAL and stop with the Fake Trump/Russia story?”
“It is the same Fake News Media that said there is "no path to victory for Trump" that is now pushing the phony Russia story. A total scam," he added.
In a declassified report released in January, the intelligence community concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin helped the real estate tycoon win the White House, an allegation dismissed by both Moscow and Trump.
Three parallel investigations have been launched into the matter; one by the Senate Intelligence Committee, another by the House Intelligence Committee, along with one by the FBI.
