Argentina’s string of poor results in South American World Cup qualifying has cost Edgardo Bauza his job as the head coach of the national team.
Argentine FA’s president told reporters on Monday that Bauza has been dismissed. The decision was made after the twice World Cup winners recorded only 3 wins in 8 World Cup qualifiers under manager Bauza.
The Argentineans are currently 5th in the South American group with 4 qualifiers remaining. Reports suggest Sevilla’s Argentine manager Jorge Sampaoli is set to take the coaching reigns of the national side.
