Various American administrations pursue their own benefits when it comes to supporting Saudi Arabia, because Washington intends to dominate oil resources and market, says Scott Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer from San Francisco.
“The United States began its global attempt to dominate [oil resources and petrodollars] and that is what solidified the marriage between Saudi Arabia and the United States,” Bennett said on Tuesday.
He added that the relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia dates back to the late 30s and 40s when the petrodollar and the oil revenues of Saudi Arabia were contracted in blood.
Washington has been turning a deaf ear to calls for stopping arms sales to Saudi kingdom due to its poor human rights record and its bloody war against Yemen. In 2015, the US approved more than $20 billion in military sales to Saudi Arabia. Riyadh is going to expand its military budget by three percent annually from 2018, according to the IHS Jane’s information group.

Pointing to the consequences of the United States’ military support for Saudi Arabia, the analyst noted that “it is not only Yemen where Saudi Arabia is guilty of war crimes and genocide,” but it is also Libya and Syria.
According to the former US army officer, Qatar and Saudi Arabia worked in tandem with Israel to destabilize Libya and Syria in concert with the former US administration. He added that Saudis and Americans are also working together to destroy Yemen.
Bennett further touched upon opposite forces like Russia, which try to foil US-Saudi plots against the Middle Eastern states.
“Russia has also been identified as outstanding in the [field of] oil production and it has surpassed Saudi Arabian oil production. So, there needs to be an economic war waged against Saudi Arabia with the Russians destroying the Saudis’ hold on the export market of oil and really a reverse coup should be carried out to remove the Takfiri Saud family and liberate Saudi Arabia from that oppressive regime,” he concluded.
