Watch drone footage of Iran’s biggest solar power plant project which was recently launched in the country's western province of Hamadan.
Two seven-megawatt units of the project’s total five were brought online earlier in the month during a ceremony with the presence of Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian.
The plants were constructed by the Renewable Energy Organization of Iran, known as SUNA. When completed, they will generate a total of 35 megawatts of electricity.
Each of the two plants covers an area of around 10 hectares and are located just outside of the city of Hamadan.
