Syrian army takes control of Wadi Barada valley

The Syrian army has taken full control of Wadi Barada valley near the capital Damascus. The area has been the scene of fierce fighting in recent weeks. The military's offensive, launched last month, aimed partly to seize control of a major spring and water pumping station which supply most of the capital's water.
