French court upholds racial profiling by cops

France has been repeatedly condemned by the United Nations and top national NGOs for racial profiling by police, yet the practice has just been declared constitutional. The Constitutional Court has decided not to penalize legal provisions related to identity checks and measures that activists categorize as racial discrimination.
