Iran, Russia and Turkey agree to monitor Syria truce

After two days of talks in the Kazakh capital Astana, Iran, Russia and Turkey released a joint communiqué, stating that they will work together to monitor the ceasefire between the Syrian government and opposition groups. The communiqué is expected to lay the groundwork for political negotiations next month in Geneva.
