Three swimmers are going to represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 13th edition of Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) World Swimming Championships (25M) 2016, which are scheduled to start later this week.

Arsham Mirzaei, Amirabbas Amrollahi and Arya Nasimishad will represent Iran in the prestigious international event under the tutelage of Khashayar Hazrati as coach.

The 13th edition of FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) 2016 will open in Windsor, Canada, on December 6, and will conclude on December 11.

Almost 1,000 of the world’s best swimmers from over 176 countries are expected to compete for World Championship glory in the competition.

A total of 46 gold medals are at stake during the six-day-long tournament, which is thought to draw more than 35,000 spectators.

The FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), or “Short Course Worlds” as they are sometimes called, are an international swimming competition. The tournament differs from the FINA World Aquatics Championships as it is contested in a short course and 25-meter pool rather than a long course and 50-meter one.
