The brother of Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has died at the age of 83 in Riyadh.
Prince Turki bin Abdulziz’s death was announced on Saturday via a royal statement published on Saturday by the official Saudi Press Agency.
It noted that Salman would be receiving condolences for the next three days.
Born in 1934, Prince Turki was a son of the kingdom’s founder, King Abdulaziz bin Saud and served as deputy minister of defense from 1968 to 1978.
Photos of a tearful King Salman, leading funeral prayers for his late brother, have appeared online.
