Israeli forces have shot and killed a Palestinian man and injured several others during clashes on the outskirts of East Jerusalem al-Quds.
Ali Sheyookhi, aged 20, was killed on Tuesday while fighting broke out between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians in the village of Silwan.
According to medical sources, Israeli troops have blocked off the area and are prohibiting ambulances access to the injured.
In recent months, Tel Aviv regime forces have shot dead a large number of Palestinians after accusing them of carrying out attacks against Israelis across the occupied territories.
The occupied territories have been the scene of heightened tensions since August 2015, when the Tel Aviv regime imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem al-Quds.
Almost 250 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in what is regarded as the third Palestinian Intifada since October 2015.
