The international community has failed to properly address the situation in Palestine, which has led to a condition as if Israel can be above international law, says Jamal Juma, the head of Stop the Wall Campaign.

The international community treats the situation in Palestine "as if Israel can be above the international law," the analyst said.

He commented on the world's silence toward the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. "Nobody in the world talks about this as a violation of human rights for other people."

Juma said the Israeli regime used certain occasions to “humiliate” Palestinians and to “freeze” their life.

“You celebrate your religion and your feast why I should pay the price in my life for that?” he asked, adding, “This is a serious violation of human rights that added to all the violations and the crimes that Israel is committing against the Palestinian people.”

The occupied Palestinian territories have been the scene of heightened tensions since August 2015, when the Tel Aviv regime imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem al-Quds.

Almost 250 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in what is regarded as the third Palestinian Intifada since October 2015.
