More recordings surface of Donald Trump's crude remarks about women
New audio has surfaced of US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump engaged in crude and demeaning conversations about women, even commenting about his daughter’s physique.
The new batch of recordings from Howard Stern’s radio shows was aired Saturday by CNN, just one day after The Washington Post published video from 2005 in which Trump makes lewd remarks about groping women and other forms of sexual harassment.
CNN published 18 clips from appearances the celebrity businessman made on the radio show, which include explicit language boasting sexual harassment of women.
The newly released audio conversations, which were recorded during a series of radio interviews over the past 23 years, come as Trump is already under siege for vulgar comments about women.
From 1990s through the 2000s, Trump was a frequent guest on Stern’s show, where there were no barriers to how explicit the conversations could be.
During an appearance in 2006, Trump noted that his older daughter Ivanka has "always been voluptuous." He said, "She's tall, she's almost 6 feet tall and she's been, she's an amazing beauty."
In a recording from 2004, Trump agreed with Stern during an exchange about Ivanka’s attractiveness. “Your daughter ... can I say this? A piece of a**,” Stern said. “Yeah,” Trump responded.
In another interview in 2006, Trump said: “If I weren’t married, I’d be able to get all of the girls I want.”
The latest recordings have surfaced amid mounting criticism of Trump over the lewd remarks he made in the separate 2005 recording.
Trump’s apology for the remarks has failed to quell the unprecedented controversy over his comments, prompting growing demands by Republicans for him to quit the race.
Even his running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, refused to defend the billionaire politician on Saturday, saying that he was “offended” by the obscene comments.
“As a husband and father, I was offended by the words and actions described by Donald Trump in the eleven-year-old video released yesterday,” Pence said in a statement. “I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them.”
