Iranian male cyclists have demonstrated good race readiness and commendable performance at the Asian Cycling Championships (ACC) Track Asia Cup 2016 in Thailand, managing to emerge as runners-up and collect two silver medals.
On Saturday, Iran’s Mohammad Daneshvar took part in the men’s one-kilometer time trial event in the Thai capital city of Bangkok, and landed in the second spot to pick up the silver medal.
Mohammad Rajablou, another representative from the Islamic Republic of Iran, vied for a medal in the men’s 4000-meter individual pursuit competitions, and stood on the silver podium.
The ACC Track Asia Cup 2016 started in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 7, and will finish on October 9.
Dozens of male and female athletes from several Asian countries, including China, Hong Kong, Iran, Kazakhstan, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Uzbekistan are competing for top honors at the continental sporting event.
