Leandro Cuzzolino scored late in the first half to move Argentina in front, but Lima’s 9th goal of the tournament tied it at 2-all early into the second half.
Argentina’s Alan Brandi scored a quick-fire brace before Constantino Vaporaki made it 5-2 in the 39th minute, as the Russians were pushing for a goal.
Dmitri Lyskov pulled one back for Russia moments later, and Lima became the first ever player to score a hat-trick in a Futsal World Cup final to make it 5-4.
However, it was too late and the Russians failed to complete a comeback, as La Albiceleste were crowned world champions.
