Match highlights: Russia beats Iran’s Futsal team in World Cup semi
Iran’s men’s national Futsal team has lost the chance to advance to the final of FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 after being defeated 4-3 by Russia.
The semifinals match was held in Colombia’s Coliseo Bicentenario stadium early on Wednesday.
Iran’s boys will meet the losers from the semifinals match between Argentina and Portugal for the playoff match.
Iran’s squad entered the semifinal match after beating the Paraguayan team 4-3 on Sunday, after shocking Futsal fans by knocking the reigning title defender Brazil out of the tourney in penalty shootouts after a 3-3 draw.
The eighth edition of the Futsal World Cup kicked off on September 10 and will come to an end on October 1.h
