Germany has set a new world record. But not in the Olympic games, but in the handbag throwing world championships.
The German city of Bottrop has hosted the 5th handbag throwing world championships. 36-year-old German competitor, Stefan Koopmann, has managed to win the handbag throwing World Cup.
Koopmann threw his mother’s sand filled handbag 46.20 meters. He surpassed the previous record from last year by almost eleven meters and secured the title in the competition.
A total of 17 teams from different countries have participated in the handbag throwing World Cup.
