US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has again blasted Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention where she said the billionaire businessman is not qualified to be the commander-in-chief of the US military because of his volatile temperament.
During her nomination speech on Thursday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Clinton tried to scare the Democratic National Convention audience with the image of a President Trump having the power to call a nuclear strike.
"Just ask yourself: You really think Donald Trump has the temperament to be commander in chief?" Clinton said. "Donald Trump can't even handle the rough and tumble of a presidential campaign.”
On Friday morning, Trump sent a barrage of tweets against the speech Clinton made while accepting the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. On Thursday night, he also posted several tweets against Clinton.
“Crooked Hillary said that I ‘couldn't handle the rough and tumble of a political campaign." Really, I just beat 16 people and am beating her!” Trump said in one tweet.
“Crooked Hillary Clinton mentioned me 22 times in her very long and very boring speech. Many of her statements were lies and fabrications!” he said in another.
In his earlier tweets, Trump slammed Clinton’s policy when she was secretary of state, saying wars she unleashed led to destruction, terrorism, and the creation of Daesh across the world.
He mocked Clinton’s promise to bring reforms to American financial markets, noting that Clinton is owned by Wall Street itself.
"Hillary Clinton says America is stronger together. But in Hillary Clinton’s America, millions of people are left out in the cold. She only stands together with the donors and special interests who’ve bankrolled her entire life,” he wrote.
The Republican nominee also censured Clinton for accusing him of being incapable of improving the US economic situation.
